You’re Next | Hush – Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! We’re finishing up Women’s History Month with a couple of more recent horror movies with female protagonists, one of the staples of good horror. Our friend Jordan Reidinger (Like Young Records) joins us to go through one of his favorite movies, You’re Next and we go through the Netflix original, Hush. In this episode, we decide which kitchen appliance we’d most like to kill intruders with, we talk about how you should really know your victims before attacking, and we discuss the dangers of adding plot devices too early. Enjoy!
Evan, Shane, and DeHart talk about a surreal series of commercials for a local lawyer that feature Tiny “Zues” Lister reprising his role as Deebo from the movie Friday. It’s great and actually a real thing. Click here to see for yourself. Afterwards, they go on to discuss the Netflix season of Arrested Development in a general enough way as to not spoil it (which is not possible). Give a listen to this week’s Unitedcypher Presents. Audio version below.
The gang from unitedcypher have themselves a good ol’ sit down. This week they talked about the completely imagined music career of tv’s sheriff john bunnell, they shared some group notes on fine dining, Netflix was yet again held aloft as the savior of entertainment by the entire cast, and travis manages to mug the camera yet again.
