Hey everyone! Welcome to episode 351 of Motion Picture Meltdown! Sorry for the staggered posts lately, life has just gotten a bit crazy for us. But regardless, we’re back! We didn’t get to do the Monster Month of May this year, so we’re just running it into June! I pick the movies this week, and we roast through the 1994(1995?) creature feature, Mosquito, as well as the 2005 SYFY Channel flick, Mansquito (MosquitoMan). In this episode, we choose which bug-man amalgamation we would become, we create bug wreslting faction, and say “slurp” 100 times. Enjoy!Continue reading “MPM: Ep. 351 – The Four Bugmen”
Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! Sorry for the small delay, but we’re continuing on with Mockbuster Month and doing a couple of Dehart’s picks. This we really scrape the bottom of the Asylum barrel and roast through Alien vs. Hunter as well as Atlantic Rim. In this episode, you’ll hear us come up with our own “versus” Mockbusters, we make the poorest of the poorest puns, and some force above doesn’t want us to watch these movies and podcast anymore. Enjoy!
Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! I have picked a couple of alien-centered science fiction films this week and although we thought they’d both be good…boy were we wrong. In this episode, we roast through the 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers as well as the 1985 Academy Award winning Ron Howard film, Cocoon. This week, you’ll hear us talk about whether we’d venture to space to see the unimaginable, Phil talks about what a “perfect” movie Cocoon is, and we all agree that Ron Howard is the third world country version of Steven Spielberg. Enjoy!
Happy Shark Week everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week we here at MPM celebrate another year of Shark Week bt going through two SYFY channel shark movies (of course!). This week Ed joins us once again and Phil, Dehart and myself go through the terrible sequel to our previously roasted Sand Sharks called Avalanche Sharks as well as one of the more fun SYFY channel terrible shark movies known as Ghost Shark. In this episode you’ll hear us all talk about what it takes to make a good shark movie, you’ll hear the title when you graduate from mayor syndrome, and how the absence of boobs in a bad science fiction creature feature is looked down upon. Enjoy!
Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! We’re continuing our ALL REQUESTS December with a couple of obscure gems from the horror and science fiction genres. Dehart, Phil and myself were asked to roast through Laserhawk by our special guest from last week and Phil’s brother, Ed. We also roast through a “gem” from the 80’s suggested by the host of the Pod People Podcast and sometimes an MPM guest host, Joel Mengel. We go through Rawhead Rex. In this episode, you’ll hear us talk about our favorite horror/christmas themed movies, we discuss the director of Laserhawk’s sneaky motion to get Mark Hamill, and decide that power ranger villain entrances are NOT the way to go. Enjoy!
