Wolfen | Silver Bullet – Hey everyone! Welcome to another spooky episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! We’re continuing along in our Halloween themed month and I’ve picked a couple of Werewolf movies for us to roast through. I hadn’t seen either of these, and so I thought they’d be good picks. This week, we go through one of three main werewolf movies from 1981, Wolfen, as well as the 80’s movie based on Stephen King’s Cycle of the Werewolf, Silver Bullet. In this episode, we all decide on our favorite movie werewolves, we think we found the first movie with “creature vision”, and we all discuss weremarsupials. Enjoy!
The Howling | Dog Soldiers – Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week, Dehart, Phil and myself are joined by Phil’s brother and faithful fan and listener, Ed “The Bread” Collins in going through a couple of werewolf movies that we have wanted to cover for a long time! We roast through the 1981 Joe Dante film, The Howling as well as the lesser known film from 2002 lesser known Dog Soldiers. In this episode, you’ll hear us decide what we’d do if our family/significant other became a werewolf, we talk about Dee Wallace having the monopoly on movies where you’re trapped in a car by a canine, and Ed pushes up his glasses big time. Enjoy!
Evan, DeHart, and Travis discuss Amish splinter groups and the triclops the world is missing. In this weeks Situation, they ponder the question of what kind of werewolf (or woof) would you be if that were a thing that could happen.
